Raccoon

A nice walk at Johnson's Mound Forest Preserve in Elburn IL, turned a bit soggy as it began to rain. Luckily, I was at the top of the mound near the brick shelter at the time. I took refuge underneath the cover of the shelter, and watched as the local birdlife kept going through the rain. Suddenly, something a bit higher in a nearby tree caught my eye. A raccoon, this raccoon to be exact, was looking right back at me. As it began to climb, it paused for a couple of photos.
